Men’s Health:
Opening a New Frontier

May 16, 2009 • Saturday
Joseph B. Martin Conference Center at
Harvard Medical School, Boston, MA

Under the Direction of:
William C. DeWolf, MD & Abraham Morgentaler, MD
Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Division of Urology

This is the first Harvard‑sponsored program to address the topic of Men’s Health. Until now, CME and other educational courses have addressed male‑specific medical conditions as isolated entities, whereas there is often significant overlap between one condition and another, such as the interplay between obesity and cardiovascular disease. This course aims to provide synthesis and integration of these issues by providing presentations and discussion regarding a range of male health conditions at one setting.

Several of the most common and important medical conditions are either specific to men (eg prostate cancer), or over‑represented in men (eg, cardiovascular disease). The multi‑disciplinary faculty for this one‑day course will address key issues in men’s health, and will provide new perspectives on health care issues for men as a whole.

OBJECTIVE

The objectives of the course are:

WHO SHOULD ATTEND

This course will be of interest to a broad range of health care providers, including primary care providers, internists, family physicians, urologists, psychiatrists, and gerontologists. However we welcome any health care provider with an interest in men’s health.

Attendance Limited
