This course is intended for otolaryngologists who wish to learn about the latest advances in the surgical treatment of the sinuses and Eustachian tube. The first day will highlight rhinologic topics, including surgery of the skull base, frontal sinus, and orbit, as well as balloon sinuplasty. The second day will focus on otology, including diagnosis and surgical treatment of Eustachian tube dysfunction. A hands‑on laboratory session is available in the afternoon by limited subscription for those attendees who wish to participate in cadaver demonstrations and dissections.

OBJECTIVE

The objectives of this course are to:

  • Instruct participants in advanced sinus surgery techniques, including:
  • Surgery of the skull base
  • New approaches to the frontal sinus
  • Balloon sinuplasty
  • Orbital decompression and DCR
  • Provide attendees with the latest information on diagnosis and treatment of Eustachian tube disorders, including:
  • Laser Eustachian tuboplasty
  • Microdebrider Eustachian tuboplasty
  • Surgery for patulous Eustachian tube
